Matt and Ross Duffercreators of the famous Netflix series “Stranger Things“, defended the fact that they have not really killed the main characters since the early days of the series.

In recent weeks, the cast of the show have jokingly challenged the Duffers on this fact. As it happens, Millie Bobby Brown speaks about it during an interview with The Wrap: “You have to start killing people. The Duffer brothers are sensitive little girls who don’t want to kill anyone. We have to have the Game of Thrones mindset. Kill me ! They tried to kill David and they brought him back! »

Matt Duffer has now defended his position during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, saying there are definitely possibilities “under consideration” for the fifth and final season: “What did Millie call us? She said we were “sensitive little girls”. She is hilarious. Believe us, we’ve explored every option in the writing room. Just like a complete guess, if you kill Mike [Finn Wolfhard], it’s like… it’s depressing… we’re not Game of Thrones. It’s Hawkins, it’s not Westeros. This is basically me defending myself against these Millie Bobby Brown accusations and explaining that there are lives behind it all, and it has nothing to do with my sensibility. So there you have it, Millie.”

In an interview with Collider, the Duffers indicate that the final season will reveal the exact nature of the Upside Down after the brief teasing of a reveal in the seventh episode of the fourth season about the nature of time there.

Additionally, Will (Noah Schnapp) will feature in much of the season after being sidelined for several episodes in later seasons until some key scenes in the final two episodes of the fourth season. The character has a key connection to the Upside Down that should be explored.

Asked if the duo would consider releasing the entire series on Blu-ray once it’s finished, Matt Duffer replies that the brothers would like to do so, however they have also considered the reverse approach. : “I want to make a VHS. I want a panned and digitized version, of at least season 1. I just want to try to pan and digitize it”

Ross Duffer adds that they had the show’s colorist do a trial run of the season one opening scene with an old-school pan-and-scan approach.
